Modifikasi Yamaha Scorpio - Full set “kaki2″ Kawasaki N250R



Modifikasi Yamaha Scorpio minimalis ini full set menggunakan kaki-kaki kekar Kawasaki Ninja 250R.

Motor oprekan tangan piawi mekanik "subur" Apit Ndut yang bermarkas di Bengkel YSCI adalah milik H. Iwan Nurohman YSC 174 aka  Eagle-1. Full set "kaki-kaki" gress bin anyar ini diperoleh dari pemilik Kawasaki Ninja 250 yang kebenaran banget ingin memodifikasi motor anyarnya, padahal belum sempat diajak "meng-aspal" jalan Ibu Kota Jakarta. Tanpa pikir panjang, langsung ditebus kaki-kai full set tersebut. Semua masih dalam kondisi gress…..



Kendala Pemasangan? hampir tidak ditemui kendala dalam memasang kaki-kaki kekar N250R ini. Penyesuaian hanya dilakukan pada beberapa bagian. Dimulai dari Segitiga bawah yang dikenal Under Bracket Comp dalam bahasa kerennya. fork1As Segitiga milik Yamaha Scorpio dicopot dan dibenamkan dengan bantuan tukang bubut ke dalam segitiga Ninja. Alhasil, saat memasang segitiga Kawasaki Ninja yang telah menggunakan As Yamaha Scorpio itu, langsung dengan mudah terpasang alias tinggal "plek" masuk ke dalam rumah komstir Yamaha Scorpio batang-shock. Dengan begitu, komstir Yamaha Scorpio masih tetap digunakan. Setelah kelar pemasangan Segitiga atas-bawah,  dilanjutkan dengan merakit batang shock (inner tube) kiri dan kanan dan menyesuaikan pegangan lampu, brecket spakbor dst. Penyesuaian lanjutan pada sektor segitiga, adalah membuat raiser stang/handlebar. Karena Kawasaki Ninja 250 dari sananya bergaya sport tulen yang mengadopsi stang jepit, sementara Yamaha Scorpio adalah sang pejantan turing alias sang Cruiser. segitiga-atasKurang sreg rasanya jika menggunakan stang jepit ala Sport tulen. Akhirnya dibuatlah dudukan stang alias raiser menggunakan bahan duralium yang dikenal kokoh dengan bantuan "sang maestro" bubutan.

Setelah rampung pemasangan shock depan berikut atributnya. Kemudian dilanjutkan pemasangan Swing arm atau Rear Arm Kawasaki Ninja, lagi-lagi tidak ditemukan kendala berarti. Pertama, model rear arm Kawasaki Ninja sama persis dengan Yamaha Scorpio yaitu model huruf A.  swingarm1 Sehingga tinggal menyesuaikan saat memasang pada rangka. Kedua, ketika diukur panjang rumah as rear arm Kawasaki Ninja, masih lebih panjang rear arm Yamaha Scorpio dengan selisih panjang 1mm kiri dan kanan atau hanya setebal 1 buah ring baut. Jadi hanya tinggal slipkan masing-masing 1 buah ring ketebalan 1mm kiri dan kanan, "plek" langsung rear arm dengan mudahnya dijepit oleh rangka Yamaha Scorpio. bushing-armPenyesuaian dilakukan hanya saat memasang bushing arm milik Yamaha Scorpio. Bonggol ujung-ujung bushing arm Yamaha Scorpio masih sedikit kebesaran bila dimasukan ke dalam arm Ninja. Lagi-lagi, peran serta tukang bubut dilibatkan. Sekitar 1mm kedua ujung busing arm Scorpio dikecilkan. Setelah itu, bushing arm dengan penuh keleluasaan memasuki arm Ninja 250.Dengan begitu rampung deh pemasangan Swing Arm Ninja 250 tanpa kendala berarti.

Penyesuaian lanjutan pada pemasangan rear arm adalah pada saat pemasangan monocross yaitu penghubung/link lengan ayun/rear arm dengan monoshock (Connecting rod dan Arm relay). Kawasaki mengadopsi sistem uni-track sementara Yamaha Scorpio menggandalkan monocross. Upaya kombinasi dilakukan, cr-arConrod - CR (see no.20) yang berbentuk seperti teropong/kaca-mata itu dipensiunkan. Diganti dengan 2 bilah besi milik uni-track Kawasaki Ninja yang hanya disesuaikan panjangnya. Sementara Arm Relay AR (see no.13 ) pun dimodifikasi agar bisa disandingkan dengan 2 bilah besi uni-track tersebut. (lengkapnya lihat bahasan Monocross tanpa Conrod). Setelah rampung, perakitan rear arm dan pemasangan monoshock yang masih mengandalkan monoshock Yamaha Scorpio dengan mudahnya terpasang rapi dan empuk. Buritan-pun tidak terlihat ceper/ambles karena saat pembuatan 2 bilah besi uni-track sekaligus mengukur tinggi buritan yang proporsional alias tidak terlalu nungging dan juga tidak terlihat ceper/ambles walau untuk berboncengan. Monoshock masih cukup lembut menahan guncangan di medan aspal keriting yang kerap ditemui saat turing.

Dengan terpasangnya shock depan dan rear arm, modifikasi hampir memasuki tahap finishing yaitu tinggal memasang cast wheel alias pelek depan belakang. Tentunya pasti mudah tanpa perlu penyesuaian karena semua yang digunakan dari 1 sumber alias full set Ninja 250. Penyesuaian akhir hanya terletak pada mata rantai dan rear sprocket alias gir belakang rantai1. Rear arm Kawasaki ternyata 3-4cm lebih panjang dari Yamaha Scorpio. Sehingga diperlukan mata rantai yang sedikit lebih panjang dari bawaan Yamaha Scorpio yang hanya 118 mata. Pilihan dijatuhkan pada produk Kawasaki juga, yaitu rantai Kawasaki Eliminator yang memiliki panjang 130 mata dengan tipe yang sama yaitu 428H. Kemudian dilanjutkan penyesuaian gir belakang. Kawasaki Ninja menggunakan gir 44T-520 sementara Scorpio 44T-428. Mau tidak mau gir Kawasaki Ninja dilengserkan, perburuan gir belakang membuahkan hasil. Gir belakang Kawasaki KLX 150 memiliki ukuran yang sama dengan Scorpio yaitu 44T-428 dengan diameter lubang tengah yang sama persis dengan Kawasaki Ninja. Perpaduan ciamix……… tinggal menyesuaikan lubang bautnya saja, Ninja memiliki 6 baut sementara KLX hanya 4 lubang baut. Selesai membuat lubang baut menyesuaikan dengan Ninja. Akhirnya rampung sudah…………

Test riding? Hasil modifikasi yang ajibbbbbbbbbb, setelah dilakukan uji kelaikan jalan. Ternyata memiliki nilai 100 poin alias sempurna. Handling mantab dan stabil. Manuver saat rebah luarrrrrr biasa stabil karena ditopang diameter shock depan yang besar sehingga rebound sangat mantap. Uji dilanjutkan dengan menempun perjalanan jauh saat turing. Umumnya baru muncul kekurangan saat perjalanan jauh, ternyata itupun tidak terjadi. Hasil modifikasi sempurna, sangat laik untuk jalan dan cukup pantas direkomendasikan.
